Public is encouraged to attend before voting

The Maine-Endwell Central School District will hold an information night to provide residents with additional details about the district's proposed pool project. The event begins at 7 p.m. June 11 at the current pool located at Maine-Endwell High School, 750 Farm to Market Road, Endwell.

At the information night, community members will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with various project professionals, board members, and administrators to learn more about the plan to improve the district pool. Attendees will also get a firsthand look at existing pool conditions.

The $5.8 million single-proposition pool project will be brought before voters in a public referendum on June 19.

Voting will take place from noon to 9 p.m., with District 1 residents voting at Maine Memorial Elementary School, Main Street, Maine, and District 2 residents (Town of Union only) voting at Maine-Endwell Middle School, 1119 Farm to Market Road, Endwell.

A registration session, for residents who are not currently registered to vote, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on June 11 at Maine Memorial Elementary and the Middle School.
