A Vestal man has been arrested after threatening to kill his wife with a shotgun.
Vestal Police just released the information Wednesday night.
Broome Dispatch received a call after 6 Tuesday night from a 9 year old girl, saying her father was going to murder her mother.
Vestal Police responded to the home on Tracey Creek Road, where 37 year old Arthur Behn would not come outside or allow police into the house.
The standoff ended when Police forced their way inside.
No one was injured.
Inside, police found the shotgun Behn was threatening to use and a muzzle loader.
Behn is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing guns.
He is charged with menacing and intimidating a victim.
Behn was arraigned in town of Vestal Court and sent to the Broome County Jail.
He's expected to face more charges, including 5 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, as his 5 children were present during the incident.
