Norwich Police Chief Involved in Serious Crash

Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton ) A child's seriously injured in a two car crash that also injured the City of Norwich Police Chief and Assistant Chief.

Joseph Angelino was traveling on County Road 32 in North Norwich just after 7:00 this morning.

Norwich Police say Angelino and the assistant chief were in a city car heading to a training session.

Troopers say 35 year old Amanda Collins of Norwich lost control of her Jeep on the slippery road.

It slid into the path of the chief's car.

A 5 year old boy in Collin's car was ejected.

State Police say he was riding in a booster seat.

The boy was taken to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where he's in serious condition.

His name is not available.

New York State Police are handling the accident investigation.
