Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - There's a new way to win big in New York State.

Powerball tickets officially hit the market today.

It's the 32nd state to join the lottery drawing.

The game draws five white balls out of 59 balls and one red ball from 39 balls.

Players have nine ways to win.

To get the jackpot you must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball.

The Xtra mart in Johnson City expects to see a rise in customers due to the new game, and hopes the store will win big with extra sales.

"We get a lot of people that come in and get the lotto, and get gas," said cashier, Tanya Kelly.

"I was coming here specifically to buy a powerball, I'm very excited about it. It seems like it's going to be really good, and the proceeds will go to New York State, help them out," said Jim Regan of Endicott.

The current estimated jackpot is $107 million.

You can watch the Powerball drawing every Wednesday night at 11 on WBNG-TV.
