That's when construction will begin on the Hooper Road Bridge in the Town of Union. Work will stretch from Prospect Street south to the 17 C ramps. The south lane will stay open. But you will not be able to head north from 17 C on to Hooper Road. Drivers are urged to find another route, like using Watson Boulevard, Country Club Road, Hayes and McKinley Avenues. Construction could be finished by November. If the work is not done, the bridge will re-open, and work will resume in the spring of next year.
