Endicott Standoff- Update

A nearly 9-hour standoff in Endicott is now over.

Around 5:45 a-m, police responded to 12 North Loder Avenue in the village.

Police say a Jason Shafer age 28was inside the home and it was believed he had a gun.

The Endicott Johnson City Special Response Team was called in and neighbors were evacuated from nearby homes.

Police say the standoff ended around 2:30 p.m., when they entered the house.

Police found the man's body, and it's believed he committed suicide.
