The incident happened on Saturday morning in Whitney Point.
Police say 76-year-old Jean Potter was crossing route 11 in a crosswalk when a pickup truck hit her.
Potter was taken to Wilson Hospital.
She later died from her injuries.
Police do not expect any criminal charges against the driver of the truck, 18-year-old Matthew David.
But police say some minor charges are pending.
