State Police had to tackle a man who had threatened harm with a shotgun in Tompkins County.
Two troopers responded to the trailer home of 34 year old Terri Hein Senior in Newfield late last night.

They talked to Hein, seen here, and thought a domestic problem had been resolved.
But as they were leaving, they say Hein came back out with a shotgun, and fired a rounds over their heads.
More officers were called in.
Negotiations with Hein spanned about two hours.

Hein fought off attempts to arrest him but was finally taken into custody.
He's charged with Reckless Endangerment, Resisting Arrest and Menacing.
