Kirkwood, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A woman is in critical condition Friday night after crashing her car into a tractor trailer.
It happened on Route 11 at about 8pm.
The Kirkwood Fire Chief says she was driving southbound when her car rammed into a tractor trailer that was backing up across the road.
Her vehicle became stuck underneath the tractor trailer.
The fire department says it took 45 minutes to free her.
She was then airlifted to Wilson hospital.
State Police are still investigating why the trailer was traveling across the road.
