Meth Manufacturing Investigation Leads To Two Arrests

Whitney Point , NY (WBNG Binghamton) On March 16, 2010, members of the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) arrested two people as the result of an investigation into the unlawful manufacture and possession of methamphetamine in Whitney Point. The arrests came after State Police searched two residences in the Village of Whitney Point.

State Police arrested Donald Moshier, age 32, and Sunshine X. Quick, age 25, both of 2621 Liberty Street, Apt. #2, Whitney Point, NY, after executing a search warrant at their residence.

Moshier and Quick were both charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Possession with Intent to Sell), a Class “B” Felony; Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine 3rd degree, a Class “D” Felony; Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor; and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Moshier was also charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a Class “B” Felony.

Moshier and Quick were arrested after a six week investigation culminated in a search warrant at their residence. Seized during the search warrant was approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine, various precursors, reagents and solvents used to manufacture methamphetamine, scales and packaging material, a surveillance system, marihuana and approximately $3,000 in U.S. Currency.

Moshier and Quick were arraigned in the Town of Triangle Court and committed to the Broome County Jail without bail.

The investigation is continuing and further charges and arrests are anticipated
