The trial of a Cornell student accused of murdering his wife takes an early break for the weekend.
After hearing testimony this morning, the trial was recessed until Monday.
This week started with jury selection, with 8 jurors and 4 alternates being seated.
Opening Arguments were held yesterday, then the first witnesses were heard.
During opening arguments, the Prosecution said it will prove that 25 year old Blazej Kot stabbed his 28 year old Wife, Dr. Caroline Coffey.
Then left her body along a running path in Cass park in Ithaca.
They say he then set fire to the couple's apartment to cover the crime.
During the defense's opening statement, Kot's lawyer said Kot DID kill his wife, but that he was mentally ill.
The trial will resume Monday morning at 9:00 am.
