Binghamton, NY (WBNG BInghamton) Another victim's spirit is living on through her students.

72-year old Roberta King was an English teacher at the American Civic Association.

She was teaching a class in the building at the time of the shooting.

King was a mother of 10 and grandmother of 17.

Her son Jeffrey remembers King as a giving, gentle and kind woman.

Jeffrey says his family and his job has given him the strength to get through this last year.

The community's support also helps him recover from the loss of his mother.

"Through all of this, I've learned how much my mother has touched the lives of so many. Through school children that she taught or other people," said King.

The family will attend a memorial service for King Friday night at Temple Concord.

They're also holding a second passover seder Saturday evening.
