A man is rushed to the hospital after a motorcycle and car crashed in the Town of Union.

At about 5:45 Wednesday evening, a motorcycle was traveling North on Route 26 in West Corners.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office say a Toyota Camry traveling south made a left to turn into Phil's Chicken House, cutting in front of the motorcycle.

The rider, 48-year-old Timothy Petticrew of Endicott, was unable to stop in time.

He crashed into the passenger side of the car and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Petticrew was unconscious when emergency crews arrived. He was taken to Wilson Hospital with head injuries, and underwent surgery.

He's in critical condition at Wilson.

The driver of the Camry, 70-year-old Beverly Bikos of Endwell, was not injured.

She was issued a ticket for failure to yield right of way.
