Singing a Different Tune

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Some students are making music with their voices at Binghamton University.

It's the 5th anniversary of the Binghamton Treblemakers.

The 16 person co-ed group features rock acappella music.

And the group sings popular music from artists such as Coldplay, Queen and the Counting Crows.

They've been practicing three times a week since September to get ready for this performance, but participants say they just love singing.

"It's so much fun and it's popular songs but re-arranged so only voices are doing it. We use the same type of vocal harmonies to make it appealing and everyone seems to love it," says Russell Heiman, Singer and Business Manager for the Treblemakers.

Admission Saturday night was $3 dollars per person.

The group hopes to raise enough money to fund their summer tour.
