Sidney, NY (WBNG Binghamton) On Tuesday, April 27, 2010, the New York State Police in Norwich, New York arrested Jeffery A. Maxson, age 44 of New Berlin, New York for Arson 2nd degree, a class B Felony.
The arrest was made following an investigation completed by the New York State Police and Chenango County Fire Investigators into a fire that destroyed a residence located at 5156 State Route 8 in the Town of New Berlin, Chenango County.
Maxson was arraigned in the Town of Oxford Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $50,000.00 cash bail.
