Computer Take-Back

July 22, 2010 Updated Apr 30, 2010 at 5:38 AM EDT

Got an old computer you want to get rid of? Don't throw it out; recycle it for free this weekend.

Several area tech companies are teaming up to hold a Personal Computer Take Back Day on Saturday.

They'll take your unwanted computer products at three locations for recycling. That can include monitors, CPUs, keyboards, cables, computer mouses, modems, disk drives, and printers.

You'll have to fill out a release form for any equipment you drop off. The forms will be available at the three Take Back locations:

  • Geodis Global Solutions, 1075 Clark Street, Endicott
  • Lockheed Martin Victory Plaza, Taylor Road, Owego
  • Universal Instruments, 90 Bevier Street, Binghamton

The event is Saturday, May 1 from 7:00am to noon.

**IBM AS/400 and System/360 products will not be accepted
