Cooperstown Teen Indicted For Attempted Murder

Cooperstown, NY (WBNG Binghamton) On Friday, Anthony Pacherille was indicted on four charges including Attempted Murder as a hate crime, Attempted Assault, Assault and Unauthorized Use of a Fire Arm.

The Otsego County District Attorney's Office says 16 year-old Anthony Pacherille shot a classmate in the arm with a rifle inside the Cooperstown Police Station in early April.

He then shot himself in the face.

Pacherrille is white and the victim, Wesley Lippit is black.
Both were students at Cooperstown High School.

On Friday, Pacherille was indicted on four charges including Attempted Murder as a hate crime, Attempted Assault, Assault and Unauthorized Use of a Fire Arm.

Pacherille is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning in Otsego County Court.

He's currently being treated for his self-inflicted gun shot wound at Basset Hospital.

The victim, Wesley Lippit has returned to school.
