31 year old Steven Colegrove appeared at the courthouse in Towanda for his preliminary hearing.
Pennsylvania State Police believe he shot his father Joseph, mother Marlene and brother Michael on August 8th.
The Colegroves were well known in the area.
They were found dead in their home in Tuscarora Township.
At the hearing, state police and other witnesses were called to testify about the evidence against Steven Colegrove.
Investigators say he had motive, shooting expertise and knowledge of the property to carry out the killings.
The defense argued there was no evidence putting Colegrove at the scene.
But the judge denied a request to throw out the charges.
Colegrove will go to trial on 3 counts of criminal homicide.
