Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Part of a building comes crashing down on Binghamton's north side.

Binghamton Police responded around 9:30 Tuesday morning to this building at the corner of Eldredge and North Depot Street.

A window and pieces of the facade fell about 5 stories down onto an awning at the front of the vacant structure.

No one was injured and a recently renovated adjacent building appears safe and solid.

The City says the next step is to get the property manager to do an assessment of the building.

"We may have to condemn it depending on the whole final assessment. Obviously right now it is a hazard and we're going to be working very diligently to make sure we take care of it," said Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan.

Ryan says the city is trying to track down the building owner.

He says ownership could have changed hands as recently as last week.
