Stabbing in Endicott

July 22, 2010 Updated May 25, 2010 at 11:16 AM EDT

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man showed up to the Endicott Police station early Tuesday morning suffering from a stab wound, but police say the investigation is at a standstill.

Detectives say the man walked into the station shortly before 2:30am.

He told police he was stabbed near the 100 block of Madison Avenue.

But police say there is no physical evidence to support the claim, and the victim is now being uncooperative.

He was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives say without cooperation from the victim, the investigation becomes almost impossible to solve.
