"So what just happened was like there was this big kind of not big food fight thing," said a student in a self-recorded video now posted on You Tube.
The video was taken inside Binghamton High School during lockdown Thursday after the food fight that turned into violent brawl, ending with the arrest of ten students.
First, he takes us inside the cafeteria, where we see what looks like sauce splattered on the wall. He says a lot had already been cleaned up, but there was still some food on the tables and the floor.
We then see more mess around a trophy case, and even on the ceiling.
"It was kind of lame," he says, "because it lasted like 10 seconds, it was guerrilla warfare, people just tossed their trays in the air and left."
Further into the video we see an empty stretcher rolled down the hallway.
The student takes us to a stairwell that's been taped off, but he's quickly turned back by school staff members.
He then heads to a computer room, where we find frosting and silly string on a window.
On another set of steps, students have left entire trays.
