Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A new TEA Party organization in Broome County aims to put new representatives in office.

The Triple Cities Tea Party held its first forum at Brothers 2 in the Town of Union.

Tea stands for Taxed Enough Already.

This local group was formed in April.

It aims to get the word out about how someone can run for office.

Those who aren't registered to vote could learn how.

Buffalo area Tea Party member Rus Thompson was the guest speaker.

He's campaigning for Carl Paladino.

Paladino didn't win the Republican nomination for Governor.

To get his name on the ballot, he needs 15,0000 valid signatures from registered Republicans.

"He's in this thing to keep the conservative party alive in New York state and I support him with everything he's doing because he's doing it for the right reasons," said Thompson.

The Tea Party is not affiliated with any specific political party.
