Kirkwood, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Philadelphia Flyer player Daniel Briere and his son were involved in a crash on Interstate 81 North in Kirkwood.

They were not seriously injured.

New York State Police say the 2010 Land Rover driven by 32 year old Daniel Briere of Haddonfield, New Jersey was traveling in the passing lane next to a tractor trailer.

Troopers say Briere was drowsy and drifted into the right lane.

The Land Rover side-swiped the tractor trailer.

The truck then swerved, jack-knifed, and rolled.

It came to a stop across both lanes of 81 North around 12:30 am Thursday.

Briere's Land Rover hit a guiderail and came to a stop.

Police say the truck driver, Briere, and his 9 year old son all had minor injuries.

They were taken to Wilson Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Briere plays for the Stanley Cup Runner Up Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League.

He was a former Buffalo Sabre.
