More than 20 pounds of marijuana was confiscated Monday in Otsego County.

The Sheriff's Office says pot plants were growing on property in Middlefield.

They also found more of it drying in a shed and small amounts of processed marijuana.

47 year old James Myers of Pink street is facing charges of felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor growing cannabis.
In all, deputies say 2 1/2 pounds of pot was seized from his home.

Myers was arraigned in court and released on 35 hundred dollars bail.
He's Director of the Respiratory Therapy Department at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.

A spokesperson for the hospital says Myers is a long standing employee with a good record. He is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation.
