Gobble your way to the Y this Thanksgiving
CORTLAND—Throw your bird in the oven and come down to the Cortland YMCA Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning! Become part of the Cortland tradition by lining up at the start line in front of the YMCA on 22 Tompkins Street, Cortland at 9AM, Thursday, November 24th.
All Turkey Trot runners registering before Monday, November 14, will be guaranteed a commemorative long sleeve t-shirt. A 1-mile fun run will also take place with no registration required, however no shirts available for this part of the event.
Last year’s race brought out 477 registrants making it our largest turnout ever.
A significant portion of the proceeds from the race is donated to the Cortland Salvation Army. We are asking each runner and spectator to bring non-perishable food items to be collected at the race for the Salvation Army’s Food Pantry.
The Turkey Trot is the final race of this year’s Fidelis 6-Pack Series. The Fidelis 6-pack is a series of 5K races organized by the Cortland YMCA and Cortland Regional Sports in and around the Cortland area.
Sponsors for this year’s Fidelis 6 Pack include: Fidelis Care, BorgWarner, Contento’s Demolition, Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland Regional Sports Council, DLH Properties, Graph-Tex, Janke Family Chiropractic, Plan First Technologies, and Royal Motors and Z-95.5 Ithaca’s Hit Music Channel.
