EVENT TITLE: 32nd Annual Children’s Fair

EVENT DATE: Saturday, April 14th, 2012, 10 am to 2 pm

EVENT LOCATION: Broome Community College (BCC) Student Center, Front Street, Binghamton

COST OF EVENT: $3.00 for children/Adults Free with CHOW donation. $10 maximum per family

EVENT SPONSOR: Broome Community College Early Childhood Department and the Binghamton Association for the Education of Young Children (BAEYC)

EVENT DESCRIPTION: April is recognized as the “Month of the Young Child” which brings attention to the needs of young children and their families. This year’s theme is "Early Years are Learning Years.” In conjunction with this, BAEYC and the Teacher Education/ Early Childhood Department at Broome Community College are sponsoring the 32nd annual Children’s Fair.

Families are invited to join in celebrating children by enjoying a fun filled day with hands-on activities created by BCC students. Big trucks, police cars, snowplows, fire trucks and garbage trucks will be on hand for the children to interact with. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Child-Safe Identification Program, Drive-Thru Safety Seat inspections and on the spot helmet checks will be available. Community agencies that serve the families and children in our area will be on hand with information and to answer questions. Every child attending will receive a free book donated from Penguin Books.

Entertainment this year includes musical entertainment from DJ Johnny Only and performances from Magician, David Black and the Bubbleman, Doug Rougeux. All entertainment is included in the price of admission.

Nutritious and very low cost lunches and snacks will also be available for your convenience!
