Canadian scientist Jessica Ernst has 30 years of experience as an environmental consultant in the oil and gas industry. She also has poisoned water -- thanks to that same industry. The gas drilling company EnCana fracked into the aquifer in her town of Rosebud, Alberta, and her life has not been the same. Let's hear what a real person's real experience has been with fracking.
She'll be sharing her story as well as information she gleaned through research -- information that comes directly from industry and the regulatory agencies that were set up to protect people from such harms. Canada's regulatory agencies are supposed to be "the best in the world." Ernst has recently returned from a trip to Ireland and the UK, where she spoke about fracking, and has spoken at the United Nations. We are fortunate to have her here in the Southern Tier. Sponsored by RAFT, PHE, CPNY, and SAVE S-VE.
