The Susquenango Sail & Power Squadron, in conjunction with Roberson Museum and Science Center, will present Navigating the Night Skies April 27, 2013 at 3:00 PM.
Susquenango member and astronomer Don Rumrill, along with the planetarium staff, will present this spectacular program showing the seasonal stars and constellations and relating these views to celestial navigation. Using the planetarium’s new digital star projector, they will demonstrate the movement of the earth relative to the night sky and show how mariners have used the stars and planets to determine their location for centuries. This will be an exciting educational program for boaters, as well as stargazers.
The cost will be $8.00 and includes admission to the museum and the planetarium show. Seating is limited and reservations are requested.
