The Skating Community for Opportunities in Recreation and Enrichment (The S.C.O.R.E.) will be holding its 4nd Annual “Raise the Rink Block Party” Benefit to help raise funds and community support for The S.C.O.R.E. Mission and the planned Ice Rink and Community Center Project. The event is scheduled for 6pm, Saturday, July 27th at the Enjoie Golf Course Pavilion on Main Street in Endicott.
The 4nd Annual Raise the Rink Block Party is a family friendly event that starts at 6pm is open to the public and goes into the evening and features live music with a concert by the popular party band Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns., food and refreshments catered by Orlando’s, door prizes, raffles, and the Sports Memorabilia Auction. Some of this year’s auction items include a Baltimore Orioles autographed game worn jersey from Endicott native Jimmy Johnson; A signed game used stick from NY Ranger Ryan Callahan, A Binghamton Senator Locker package and much more. The Raise the Rink All Star Golf Tournament takes place earlier in the afternoon and will include guest celebrities who will be present for the Block Party and will be available for autographs. Some spots for the golf event are still available.
The S.C.O.R.E. was formed in early 2010 and is dedicated to providing ice skating and recreational activities to youth, seniors and families in Broome, Tioga and surrounding Counties regardless of physical ability, socio-economic status, race or gender. A founding component of the organization’s mission is a Capital Project that includes development of an ice rink and community center in Western Broome County. The organization’s vision includes a daily afterschool skating program, recreational skating, ice hockey, and programs for the disabled and economically disadvantaged. The organization is a 501 C3 Tax Exempt Public Charity.
