The Nanticoke Valley Historical Society will host a “Snack and Dessert Cabaret” on Sunday, September 15 at 2:00 PM at the J. Ralph Ingalls School building, 35 Church St., Town of Maine. Maine’s September Sounds group will perform to the theme of “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” along with the special encore performance of the SRO Production from Spotlight Summer Camp. “Millie Goes to Maine” will add a slight twist to an old favorite! The event is dedicated to the memory of Joyce Smith and the (surprise) honor of 2 “Extraordinary Gentlemen.” Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 family maximum. Reservations are suggested and are available by calling 862-3635 or 862-4527.
This program will mark the first public event held in the J. Ralph Ingalls building since the community-wide building renovation effort began this spring. Although the work is far from completed, the community is invited to see the great progress that has been made.
