The FPI Attention Disorders Clinic is excited to be offering another community workshop for parents, teachers, counselors, and health care providers in our region. During the past five years, there have been significant developments in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. In this workshop, attendees will learn about an objective, neurological diagnostic test, based on Dr. Monastra's research, which was recently approved by the FDA to help identify children with medically-based attention problems vs those caused by behavioral or other psychiatric problems. They will learn how to apply Dr. Monastra's award winning motivational/disciplinary strategies at home, in the classroom, and in clinical practice. In addition, they will learn about ways to teach essential life skills to children with ADHD and how parents and clinicians can use computerized attention training programs at home, as well as, school and clinical settings.
