National touring artists Brother Sun to perform in Binghamton

The Sophia Center for Spirituality welcomes national touring artists Brother Sun in concert on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Congregational Church, 30 Main St., Binghamton, NY. A donation of $10 is suggested for admission.

Brother Sun comprises singer-songwriters Joe Jencks, Greg Greenway and Pat Wictor. The trio's harmonies, as much as their lyrics, tell what they are about: warm as a campfire, stirring as a gospel church, rousing as a call to arms. Fusing folk, Americana, blues, pop, jazz, rock, and a cappella singing, Brother Sun is an explosion of musical diversity and harmony, in the finest of male singing traditions.

The concert is a fundraiser for The Sophia Center for Spirituality, with two branches—one each in eastern and western Broome County. Christian in orientation, The Sophia Center is an ecumenical and interfaith place for all people seeking support on their spiritual journey. We span the denominations in the Southern Tier.
