The Harmony Club of Binghamton welcomes local jazz legend Al Hamme and jazz
composer/pianist Bill Carter to its April program to trace the history and
demonstrate "All That Jazz - How America's Unique Music Form Grew." You'll
learn what ragtime, blues, and swing have to do with jazz; differences
between New Orleans, St. Louis, Chicago, NYC, and West Coast jazz; what's
meant by bebop, cool jazz, funk, and fusion. This free program is open to
the public Wednesday, April 2d, 1 PM at the Schorr Firehouse Stage Theater
in Johnson City.
