Beginning Saturday, March 29 "Journey from Our Prehistoric Past" will be on view. This natural history exhibition features fossils and bones from some of New York State’s earliest life forms. Thanks to a collaboration with the New York State Museum and the Museum of the Earth in Ithaca, “Journey From Our Prehistoric Past” features representations and materials of the world’s oldest forest fossilized forest, life forms from when parts of what is now New York were undersea, our region’s only dinosaur and ice age mammals. Among the unique natural history items Roberson has on display are the skull and tusks of The Randolph Mammoth. Discovered 80 years ago, The Randolph Mammoth is one of the most complete mammoth specimens ever found in New York State.
Exhibition support provided by The Roger Kresge Foundation. Funding is provided, in part, by general operating support grants from the United Cultural Fund, a program of the Broome County Arts Council, the Klee Foundation, and the New York State Council on the Arts.
