Greater Binghamton Health Center Presents A “STATE HOSPITAL” HERITAGE DAY to Commemorate May-Is-Mental Health Month SUNDAY, June 1, 2014 At GBHC on Binghamton’s East Side (Please allow 1 hour for your visit between 1 p.m.-4 p.m.) The Public is Invited and Welcome The event begins at the Keeler Building: KEELER BUILDING LOBBY AND GYMNASIUM
 View Various Artifacts from the Hospital Museum
 View Photographs of Buildings and Events from the Past
 Current and Former Staff Will Be Available to Answer Questions and Share their Experiences KEELER BUILDING AUDITORIUM
 View Video History of the Origins and Development of the “State Hospital” Groups will be escorted to a presentation at the “Castle” every 30 minutes: THE “CASTLE” BUILDING
 Visitors Will Be Escorted to the Site of the Former Inebriate Asylum (for safety reasons, the tours will not enter the building)
 Presentations Provided on the History of Isaac Perry’s Architectural Work
 Presentations Provided on the Asylum Bell and the Mental Health Bell
 Opportunity to “Ring the Bell for Mental Health” in Memory of those Served
