Who do you run for? I run for my sister Sue Medina, who has recovered from breast cancer. I hope you’ll join me for the first-ever half marathon in the Town of Maine; net proceeds will benefit cancer research at Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medical College. Our race is limited to 400 runners, so please be sure to register early.
This half marathon’s purpose is to empower our loved ones to continue the fight against cancer, remember those we have lost, and to raise funds for cancer research. I encourage you to wear a T-shirt that lets everyone know who you are running for or that shares an inspirational quote. Your race T-shirt can be customized with a message and/or your loved one’s name. You can also order a road sign for the course with a name and/or message.
- Anne Seepersaud, Race Director
