This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Job Corps – the Nation’s oldest, largest, and most successful job training program for at-risk youth. Oneonta Job Corps Academy is one of 125 Job Corps centers around the country that are celebrating this milestone in different ways during the month of August.
Tuesday, August 19th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm @ Damaschke Field, Oneonta Job Corps Academy students will take on staff in a friendly ballgame that is sure to be full of fun and entertainment for all ages. We invite you to come enjoy refreshments, games, contests and…FIREWORKS, while you meet and greet students and staff and learn what the Oneonta Job Corps Academy has to offer the community. Join us as we give thanks to our supporters and put on a great show the whole family will love. Meet Bob the Bulldog and enjoy free popcorn, courtesy of the Oneonta Job Corps’ Student Government Association while the game is on and fireworks light up the sky! This event is free of charge. For more information, please contact Business & Community Liaison, Adina Feliu at 607-431-1455.
