Kristin Greco, an Endicott native and graduate of Union-Endicott, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of 10 years old. After more than 16 years of battling the disease, Kristin began to suffer from kidney failure and required a transplant. Her uncle, Dennis Cole, gave her the gift of life by donating his kidney to Kristin. The University of Maryland Medical Center performed a miraculous surgery of a dual transplant of the Kidney and Pancreas. Sadly, Kristin passed away in 2006 at the age of 31.

People of all ages and backgrounds travel to UMMC for these miraculous surgeries, and this dinner dance will exclusively benefit those patients and their families. Inspired by Kristin's courage, friendship and selflessness, her friends and family have decided to touch others lives in her memory by raising money and collecting donations for the cause by "Sharing Hope".
