Nirchi's Pizza Robbery

In this week's Crime Stoppers report, Binghamton police need your help to find a man, wanted for robbing a pizza place.

The Nirchi's Pizza on Water Street was robbed shortly after 11:00 pm on Friday, March 28th.

A man walked into the restaurant, showed the clerk a gun and demanded money.

He left the store through the rear door and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money.

"Several officers immediately responded to the store after the report of a robbery. Also, several more officers responded to the general area after the description was broadcast. But unfortunately, we didn't come up with a suspect," says Sgt. Michael Whalen of the Binghamton Police Department.

The suspect is described as a male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark wind pants and a light colored mask.

If you have any information on who this person is or where he may be, or if you may have seen or heard something in the area of that Nirchi's, you are asked to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-866-304-TIPS.

A reward of up to a thousand dollars is offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
