(WBNG, Binghamton NY)
In this week's Crime Stoppers Report, Binghamton Police need your help finding a missing man.
James R. Schaefer apparently left his apartment on Henry St in Binghamton on August 17th...
And has not been seen since.
Schaefer has not been in contact with anyone since then and has missed some appointments during this time.
"He does keep regular dates with his family and he hasn't shown up for that and he hasn't picked up any money that's in an account for him and he hasn't been seen by anyone that knows him and he's off his medication so we're concerned about what kind of state he might be in", says Sgt. Becky Sutliff of the Binghamton Crime Stoppers division.
Police say he has a history of anxiety and depression as well as drug and alcohol abuse.
Schaefer is 49 years old and is described as 6 feet 1 inches tall, 150 pounds with graying hair and blue eyes.
If you have any information on Schaefer's whereabouts, you are asked to call the Binghamton Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-866-304-TIPS.
A reward of up to one-thousand dollars is offered for information that helps find Schaefer.
