"It's just the place to come," said regular Andrew Skrzyniarz. "This is what you do around here: You come to Lippy's."

Located just off Airport Road in Greene, Lippy's is the place to come for burgers, BBQ and well above-average American cuisine.

It's also a pretty good time, according to the locals.

Andrew, a local college student from Rochester in the area for the summer, says he's made the pub his second home.

And the feeling's mutual.

"It feels like a family atmosphere and that's what I like," said owner Alicia Lapani, who's originally from Bainbridge. "I'm all about the community. It's like a family."

Alicia and husband Mike bought the joint last year -- it's the former Trackside Lounge -- and after a summer of renovation, opened in September.

Lippy's is also well-positioned to serve two counties. It's just outside the heart of Greene in Chenango County and a little less than 20 minutes from Broome County's seat.

Trust us, the bite of their burger is worth the drive -- regardless of where you're driving from. The cowboy burger and the jalapeno burger come highly recommended.

"The burgers here are fantastic," Skrzyniarz said "They're my favorite burgers around. All of them are very flavorful and juicy. I can get them the way I want. The cooks prepare them the way I want."

And their wings -- which are flash fried and then finished on the char grill -- come with their homemade (and signature) honey bourbon barbeque sauce.

"We're trying to something different, but delicious and good," Lapani said.

Lippy's Bar and Grill is located at 119 River Valley Lane. They can be reached by phone at (607) 656-9600, and Facebook at facebook.com/lippysgreene.
