Theres a teacher at C.R. Weeks Elementary in Windsor that makes each one of his students feel special.
He teaches fourth grade and his students can't praise him enough.

Mr. Michael Trapani loves reading and writing, so he decided to become a teacher to share that passion
Josh Goetz nominated his teacher for a number of reasons... But there's one that comes out on top.
He says "He doesn't have a favorite student he makes them all feel equally and that's what I really really like about him."
Mr. Trapani says each student is special.
"They all have different learning styles and they all come from different types of environments at home and I just try to pick a special thing that I can bond with each child and make them feel comfortable and I think if they're comfortable in your classroom they're gonna want to learn." says Mr. Trapani.
A great example of that bond...
Mr. Trapani shared a story about a time when Josh was struggling with spelling.
When Josh finally landed a 100 on his test, Mr. Trapani couldn't wait until the next day to tell him... He had to call home.
Josh says "I hadn't gotten 100 in a long time and I was kind of failing and I really studied so that got my grade up!"
Josh also says Mr. Trapani makes him feel safe.
His classmates agree.
"I feel safe because every month he makes us, he makes his buzzer sound and we will go on the carpet and because if we ever have an intruder we will be prepared." says Anastasa Nikula.
"if you walk in that door and you feel maybe threatened by another student or somethings not going to go right that day or I'm gonna be yelling at you for example, you're not gonna learn. You're gonna be focused on that, so I let everybody know, we're one family under the same sun." says Mr. Trapani.
