Summer is almost here which means the school year is wrapping up soon.

We've met dozens of wonderful teachers this year from all over the Southern Tier.

Today we finish up with our last Educator of the week.

Take a look.

Ms. Judy Todd teaches math at Hancock Middle School.

She loves interacting with the kids everyday and finding new ways to teach them.

Todd says "I think of them as my friends. I mean you know they're definitely my students but I care about them all, I love them all and I treat them as people, I treat them with respect and in return I get that respect also."

Elizabeth Brown nominated her teacher to be our educator of the week for a list of reasons...

"she makes you all spunky and pumped and everything and its so exciting and exhilarating." she says.

Jamie Martin says "my favorite thing is just doing the activities and the games and everything."

Games that spark the kids competitive side... And while they have fun their learning too."

"It gives them incentive I think to do their best and it makes it fun its a little competition." says Ms. Todd.

But the best part of Ms. Todd's games is the treat at the end...

This teacher gives a lollipop to the winner.

"lollipops not a big deal but they want to be the 1st to get that lollipop." she says.

But its not all fun and games in this classroom... Its also about giving to others.

Ms. Todd helps organize a fundraiser for St. Jude's hospital and a school-wide classroom competition to see who can donate the most to a local animal shelter.

"this year we got it so we got to have a pizza party and watch a movie too!" says Brown.
