(WBNG Binghamton) General Manager and Personal Trainer of the Riverwalk Athletic Club, Kristina Martemucci explained how her client, Susan, completed the Civilian Military Combine.
"It was tough but I finished two hours and 45 minutes with my team and I felt really good," said Susan.
According to Susan, she was challenged with climbing. There was climbing obstacles using a robe, not using a rope, no steps, and running and trying to get over it on her own strength.
"Hiking up the mountain and trail running was just something that was not specific in my training. It was very fatiguing but great," said Susan.
Susan said she felt tired but accomplished when it was all over.
"She did fantastic," said Martemucci. "I think the biggest obstacle from this year from last year is that we really didn't know what we were going to get"
Martemucci used a lot of cross training on Susan to make she hit all aspects.
Susan went into the event a little blind but was able to take it on.
"It's definitely a challenge outside of your comfort zone for sure," said Susan.
