(WBNG Binghamton) Briana Hills, personal trainer at the Riverwalk Athletic Club shared ways in which she prepared her client Bonnie for her mini-triathlon.

"I never thought I could run in my life and I did. I did all of it and even the young people were surprised that I did all three," said Bonnie.

Bonnie said she felt great when the event was over.

"It was just an awesome feeling," Bonnie said. "I thought I would drop on the ground but I didn't. I felt great."

Bonnie had lots of support cheering her on at the mini-triathlon.

"I had all my family and they had Team Bonnie turquoise shirts and my little grandbaby had a Team Bonnie. It was awesome. It was the best thing I think that could've happened all summer."

To get her ready for the event, there was a lot of training.

"We did a lot of biking and swimming, running. She really, she came out on top," said Bonnie's personal trainer, Briana Hills. "One hour and 13 minutes and 56 seconds was her time for all three events."

Bonnie plans to continue with events. Her next challenge will be a 5k, running nearly 3 miles. With the help of Briana Hills, Bonnie said she will be ready by September.
