(WBNG Binghamton) Physical Therapist's Assistant and Personal Trainer, Anthony Campo discussed his nutritional order of operations to help get fit.
The mnemonic device, PEMDAS, allows people to remember their goals and focus on the things they need to do, said Campo.
"P" stands for priorities.
The number one excuse people give as to why they can't succeed in their goal is time. Prioritize your goals and take steps every day to reach them.
"E" stands for eat breakfast.
As the most important meal of the day, you want to make sure you're eating breakfast every single morning.
"M" stands for the Macro-nutrient breakdown of food.
Eat the proper breakdown of protein, fats and carbohydrates. This balance affects your body composition.
"D" stands for designing a plan
This includes the "Do This, Eat That" plan. Make sure you have a plan in place that is easy to follow along with your schedule that will give you good success.
"A" stands for avoiding phrases
This includes "good" or "bad". Most things fall within a grey area. They can be good or bad depending on various factors, so try not to say is fat good? Is fat bad? Be educated on how they affect your body, and know what you need to succeed in your goal.
"S" stands for the specifics
Focus on those things that will yield the great amount of success first. Once you've mastered those things, then get into specifics, such as a specific vitamin or supplement that you will think will help your goals.
