Locally Grown

Locally Grown news features are sponsored by the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets. Each segment highlights interesting and informative news about the agriculture industry and the related tourism events in New York State. Every month a new Locally Grown feature reports on products that are in season and outlines opportunities for viewers to participate in the various scheduled activities.

Monthly topics include timely reports and event information about dairy and poultry, maple products, beef and venison, berries, farmers’ markets, apples and cider, the wine industry, pumpkins and corn mazes, turkeys, and Christmas trees.

The Locally Grown updates seen on WBNG-TV Action News help you learn about agricultural tourist activities taking place in the area. These news features are seen mornings during Action News 6am to 7am, Action News at Noon, during the early evening Action News 5pm to 6:30pm, and also during Dr. Phil (9-10am) and Oprah (4-5pm). In addition Locally Grown segments can be seen on WBXI, an affiliate of The CW network and sister station to WBNG.
