Downeast Concepts imported Backyard and Beyond Metal Water Bottles.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the surface paint contains excessive levels of lead.
Lead is hazardous to the health and development of young children.
They metal bottles were sold at retailers, gift and convenience shops nationwide from February 2006 through February 2008.
Return to the store where purchased for a refund.
