Dog Food Recall

We told you last week about Diamond Pet Food's recall on dog food. The food was contaminated by a toxic fungus that can be produced by corn.

Veterinarians now fear more dogs will die from eating contaminated dog food, because some pet owners haven't heard the news and keep using the toxic kibble.

The food was distributed to 24 states in the east, including New York. The bad batches are labeled "Best By March 1st, 2007" and "Best By June 11, 2007" with a"G" in the code.

The company says dog owners will be compensated for their vet bill and dog, if they dog dies from eating the food.
