(WBNG Binghamton) The next time you get a craving for a snack size portion of Macaroni and Cheese, you may want to check the label, and open carefully.
The nation's biggest food maker, Kraft Foods Incorporated, is pulling three varieties of its Velveeta Shells and Cheese single-serve microwavable cups from shelves across the United States.
The company says small, thin wire bristly pieces may be inside the cups.
Kraft hasn't received any reports of injuries, illness, or complaints yet, but 137,000 cases of the product are affected.
It includes the Velveeta Shells & Cheese original 2.39 and ounce microwaveable cups, and four packs, as well as the 2.19 ounce version made with 2 percent milk.
The recall also affects the 2.19 ounce and 2.44 ounce Velveeta Rotini and Cheese Broccolli microwavable cups.
All have best used by dates sometime between the end of April, and mid may 2012.
You may return the products to the store where you purchased them to get a full refund.
You could also give them a call. Kraft Foods Consumer Relations can be reached at 1-800-308-1841.
